  • About Ky-Lee

    Ky-Lee Hanson is First Nations / Canadian, a successful serial entrepreneur, a multi award-winning author and publisher, and an advocate for human rights.

    She is inquisitive, self-sufficient, and self-aware. Through her studies in sociology, and health sciences she actively seeks deeper understanding of human interactions, motives, and needs in hopes to amplify or provide new solutions to the world. Ky-Lee is optimistic but understands things for what they are. Being someone who can spot potential, one of the hardest things she learns over and over is: You can’t help someone who doesn’t want to help themselves.

    Ky-Lee has a problem-solving mind, and found the true strength of life and her endless capabilities through a serious health battle in her late twenties. Ky-Lee took control and, over the years, mastered how to get her power back: mind, body, and soul. She has also faced much adversity, and success, as a female entrepreneur that is focused on the well-being of women and people of colour.

    She owns Oneida Grand Centre in Iroquois, Ontario (opening 2021), and Golden Brick Road Publishing House. Her business expansions include tech, real estate, and a goal to start an organization to help fund and support entrepreneurs.

    She is a coach with WOSEN: Women of Ontario Social Enterprise Network;

    WOSEN is dedicated to equity and inclusion, and seeks to support women-identified and gender non-binary entrepreneurs from underserved and underrepresented communities. This includes Indigenous women, women in rural or remote regions, racialized women, newcomer women, LGBTQ2+, women with disabilities, and those who identify as gender non-binary. WOSEN works to unleash the entrepreneurial energy and capacity of women who have solutions that put people and the planet first. Together, we are redesigning how business supports are provided so these entrepreneurs build skills that match their potential and help them succeed.

    She thrives on creating businesses and platforms that provide opportunities for others and that promote social change. Ky-Lee has an open-door policy she learned from her mom, a listening ear, and an opportunity to lock arms and take you down your Golden Brick Road.
